You are wrong.

"...the bluest skies are in Seattle" So the lyrics of the song went anyways.

Nice has some incredibly crisp blue dome days from September to February, more so than most if not all other cities I've been to/lived in, and in particular during that period of the year. Just a general, non-scientific observation - don't ask me why.

Sydney in late winter has some strikingly deep blue skies as well.

Elevation and low humidity may play a factor.

The most blue and crisp a sky gets here is in winter, nothing beats a crisp 50 degree day Carolina blue sky.

Blue sky here today. 79F and dewpoint of 45F. I didn't see a cloud in the sky.

Not here at least. Especially in spring the air quality is really bad sometimes. We always have the similar white haze like Leeds do.

For example in 2015 Manhattan recorded at its worst 25.2 µg/m3. Turku recorded 116.4 µg/m3, Tampere 73.3 µg/m3. Last week when the air was completely still, I could smell the sand when strolling around the city.

Our most blue skies are probably in October when the air starts to get crisp.
