With the humidity we normally see here, 70 is too warm for me to be comfortable. With lower humidity I'm sure I could stand warmer temperatures, though I'd still prefer 65 or less regardless of humidity. It's been in the low to mid 80s the last couple of days here and I've been miserable. Of course, by August I'll be begging for temperatures this cool.
More than 90 record-high temperatures were recorded in the Midwest and Great Lakes yesterday.
And perhaps an even better record came for the residents of Minneapolis-St. Paul in Minnesota - for only the third time in recorded history there was no snow measured during the month of March. (Records date back to 1859).
Like other have said, depends on what I'm doing and whether it is sunny or windy etc. Given typical humidity of eastern US, I'd say generally anything over 90F/32C starts being uncomfortable for me.
I've never felt too "hot" in my life. The highest temp I felt was the low-120's (heat index) with intense sunshine, however I will say when I stepped out of the car my eyes shut and I almost fell because it was a shock, when we got in it was about 88 degrees plus it was like 9-10 in the morning.
I have yet to feel "too hot" but if I was outside the whole day with no AC breaks I'd say low-100's would feel uncomfortable. In the Summer I'm somewhat cold at night when its in the 70's.
Anything above 85 here in Florida is too hot with the intense sunshine we usually have.
