What you mean is that they are British denominations. Buddhism, for example, is a separate religion from Christianity, it is not a variation of Christianity.

Denomination

noun 1. a religious group, usually including many local churches, often larger than a sect: the Lutheran denomination.

Religion
noun 1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.

So, according to the dictionary, you are describing denominations, not religions

Strange, I though there was snow on the hills until June.

As for the previous discussion, I drink more than is healthy, and I'm also a stone cold atheist. But let the people keep their faith and nobody should be forced to drink, but I'm very much against people telling how to live "the right way". So keep your religion and teetotaling out of my face, and I won't shove my social liberal ideas upon you.

Note: backing political arguments with religion is shoving in my face.

For the drugs, I don't do them. Pot is ok, but harder drugs are not for me.
+1

Pot is less dangerous than alcohol, contrary to what modern day reefer madness folks will say. I only care about alcohol when it tears families apart and hurts others. Also, please keep the loud parties contained. We don't want a Project X situation.

Young man stabbed 5 people to death in Calgary last night.
Tonight a young man in Regina stabbed 4 people in a mall.
Both random attacks.
What a sad world we live in.
