HOLY CRAP a spider was just crawling across my table towards my dinner as I was eating. Must do something about this problem.

An insect flew in from an open window yesterday. In November. That's a good indicator of just how much warmer than normal it is here at the moment. 8°C today, that's the average low in late May.

I saw midges outside yesterday - midges! I thought they all died. We need a killer frost or something..

One thing I love about winter, is that you can open your window and let the lights on without attracting all sorts of annoying bugs.
Btw I'm unhappy that warmer air is coming. 10°C+ highs are forecasted for the weekend.

This is the most anemic, boring, stormless, cold and cloudy maritime sludge of a spring I can remember.

Roomie decided to set the heat to 77 F. Currently a stifling 75 F in here. How in the world can anyone enjoy such a hot and stuffy indoor temperature this time of year?

I had the reverse problem; a roomie who insisted on opening the window in the dead of winter to let in 20°F and under air. The room was above 70°F, but the cold air coming in sometimes interfered with my sleeping.

Well there's the problem. It's not comfortable to sleep in a 70 F+ room.

I've been opening my window lately. Love the fresh air. I only do that here because the building is well-heated and insulated. We don't really need to even have the heat on in the first place.

tell me about it.

Had the a/c on for a while but then turned it off (dont wanna spend a fortune, and after all its only 22c out) and now my room is heated again! i say its around 25-26c in here, def not sleeping weather, but i guess is this or being broke so this is it. I managed to sleep in over 30c and 35c nights last summer, so 25c should be a walk in the park for me, i guess
