72 km/hr wind gusts are horrible no matter what temperature it is outside.... I can understand your frustration. I don't like windy weather much myself and if it is accompanied by slightly cooler temps than average, then even worse.

The windy, damp weather bugs me here. In Spring, where our temps are finally warming up, you would think 50 might feel good but with the wind off the lake, not so much!
Drove down to Illinois on Sunday, leaves were coming out on the trees, daffodils, it was 68, got home to 48 and no leaves on the maple trees yet!
I like where I live because of the cooler weather, but I really get impatient in Spring!

This spring there has been a distinct lack of mild overnight minima here this April, with the highest low just 5.7°C / 42.3°F, whereas in the second half of March we had 5 nights above 6.0°C / 42.8°F.
The average low so far this April is 2.6°C / 36.7°F.
I am looking forward to May where we might just get our first minima of 10°C / 50°F if we're lucky.

If our weather forecast for early May is to be accurate, then it would be the coldest start to May in over 50 years. A shocking forecast to say the least, there's a good chance it may even snow, with highs reaching into the low 40's.

Its been cool and windy for the past 2 days, I don't like this.
The original forecast said we were gonna be around 90 this weekend but its been scaled back to the mid-80's which isn't bad for this time of year but I like the 90 better lol.
On the upside it'll be above 70 after today.

LOL, I hear ya! I guess I'm unhappy that flying is no longer fun or glamorous like it once was. And I'm unhappy about all the nickel and diming the airlines are attempting nowadays. I'm really glad I rarely need to fly anymore.

You think that's bad, look at this sh@te, this is a town in Yorkshire in May 1996, which was notably cold:
CLIMATE BRIDLINGTON MRSC - Historical May 1996 - Weather
Considerably colder than Melbourne's coldest winter month.
