It depends on how you say it. I've never offended anyone when I said no thanks I don't drink. I mean I like having the odd cold one every now and then, but I haven't gotten drunk in forever. Like right now I'm sipping down a Michelob Amber, and I'm done after this one bottle

I meant telling others you don't approve to alcohol rather than just chosing not to drink. And speaking of drinking,

Oh. Yeah there are nicer ways to say that, like how I say it, I don't drink.

Stop, nei. I have half a case left and I want it to last 2 more weeks

I started at 13. Not that I drank often before I was 18. When younger I had the impression that you can't party without alcohol as well, but later I of course understood that it's not true. Nothing wrong with not drinking, but nothing wrong with drinking as well.

But despite starting at a young age myself, I really don't like it when I see 13 year old kids roaming the streets with a bottle in hand. Luckily young people today drink less than my generation, and that's a very positive trend.

Thread reopened. This thread has frequently gotten derailed. Some thread rules:

1) No discussion of nationalities or ethnic stereotypes
2) Even if you think a poster is acting dumb, do not attack or mock another poster. Move on and ignore. Argue on weather-related topics, not each other.
3) No foul language

Violation of the rules will get your post deleted, may lead to an infraction and could get this thread closed again.

The weather today is disgusting. High winds, torrential rain and it's only 7C. It's mid winter again.

Some idiot thought it was acceptable to let his dog crap outside my house, then walk away. He then recieved a military rebriefing on dog crap etiquette from myself. He certainly won't be doing it again.
