The climate of Eastern North America is a lot different than your little mild Gulf Stream warmed island. You should have winters like Winnipeg.

Oh but no it balances out in the summer. It is just as cold on the north coast of Iceland.

Just checked the weather forecast for Londonderry and Hopedale, Labrador. Hopedale is cooler despite being at sea level and both being at 55°N

Ok it is 5pm there and sunset is well over an hour away here.
The difference is not much it would average out to be the same and anyway the temps would be much higher in hopedale if it werent for the sea being so cold.

I couldn't find climate data for Hopedale, but Nain, not too far away, has an average high of 15.1°C in July. Londonderry has an average high of 18.9°C in July. Liar. You never said you lived in Coleraine, you only said you lived near Londonderry.
