Yeah, I'm also longing for thunderstorms so much that I even dreamt of t-storms last night. But maybe now when we are getting some warmth!

On another topic, our grass is turning increasingly brown!

I had a dream about storms, too. I had a dream that I saw lightning in the distance, but the storm didn't come here, and I was very angry. I can't even get storms in my dreams!

We did have thunder and lightning this morning but barely - the thunder was so soft and the lightning was mostly hidden by mist. Thundery rain, I guess.

Ugh, whatever. At least other people feel my pain. These smug morons on NW bragging about their storms make me want to pull my hair out. Have some consideration for others please you selfish little so-and-sos.

I dream about storms all the time. Last summer was the worst storm season I ever had, every single freaking time when a mass of thunderstorms was heading towards Melbourne, they would die in the ass right on our doorstep Another running gag is the bloody Bass Strait and the Tasman sea getting stacks of storm activity while here they get killed by the seabreeze every time without fail. Figure that one out!

And then there is another typical scenario where the central ranges of Victoria and the NE of the state get about 100 storms for every one in Melbourne. Rage attack

That being said, we had a very nice storm to cap off our record warm July day last week A 23.3C day smack bang in the middle of winter topped off with a squall line that would make summer proud. By far and away the best winter day in the history of Melbourne.

Considering the humidity, this summer hasn't been all that great for thunderstorms. Maybe just heavy rain. I used think high dew points = more and better thunderstorms. But now I know it's more complicated than that.

Yeah, the t-storm pattern has shifted eastwards here for some reason. Helsinki has get some 8 thunderstorms this summer and we've had 2 weak ones. One massive storm, heaviest in several years started to FORM here and was week as hell. As it moved 200 km north, there was 20,000 flashes and violent winds during one day and night.
