Where are you getting your info from? Places like Benson in southern England fell to -6C in December last year. Bournemouth was actually one of the first non-Scottish places to get a frost - it fell below freezing in October..

In fact, Benson recently fell to -5C.

Easterlies are best here. We got a lot of snow in January and March from easterlies. NW winds never deliver away from the NW. North-easterlies are the best of all though, especially if they pass over a warm ocean and we get a lot of snow showers.
But its not proper arctic air. Yes its cold but it doesn't originate in the arctic.

The air in Greenland does. It brings very very unstable air and is not marginal at all. It provides us with lots and lots of snow and very very cold temperatures. Easterlys are a mega fail whale. Most of the time they head straight to France whereas Greenland express weather heads straight over the British isles.

Well ok they had frosts but not as many as us and even if they did who cares it was still milder down there.
Climate in Londres / Heathrow Airport in December 2013 - Historical weather records

The fact that they have not seen a single flake yet speaks volumes.

That's Heathrow. It's one of the warmer stations. Parts of Surrey around 200m had snow in December last year, and in Kent too.

Who cares? 2C by day and 0C by night is crap. It's just cold without snow.

If it isn't gonna snow here, I don't care. Last year was often marginal, but thankfully I always got snow at 86m asl. A bit lower down and it was sometimes sleet.

You don't seem to care about anything. How selfish.

And I don't care about easterlys either because most of the British isles do absolutely awful in them when it comes to snow.
