Not happy that it ain't November yet, I need my snow!

Luckily, the leaves are changing, and the nights are drawing in.. it'll be October before I know it.

Philly got 5" of rain yesterday, and I came home from the beach to water in the basement. Ugh. High temp was 75F and low was 69F. That was the first high temp in the 70's since June 20th, when the high was 79F.

Roberts County (NE South Dakota) 3-7" of rain has fallen this morning and it continues to rain. This area has been a flood zone, since snow melt, in March.

I've got every reason to believe that this August could turn out to be both cooler and possibly even duller than last August, which is saying a lot because last August was awful.

It's rained nearly every day so far with persistent cloud cover and max temps below average since the 5th.

Not happy the local ski area is closed for the third day in a row. It might be a bit of good, old fashioned hike and ski, this afternoon.

My house is the coldest it's been since late spring, because it's been so dull. I find indoor temperatures respond to sunshine much more so than temperatures.

This August however has been shockingly cold and dull. Not reached the average maximum temperature since 3rd, and only 3 days reached 20°C. That will be all for the entire month going by the forecast.

This is not summer because there has been nothing warm outside at all. No warm sun, no warm air. You go outside and it's just blatant cold. Every day. Then, winter to look forward to.

Edit: Heating's gone on again.

That does sound truly abysmal. You must feel like skipping across to Seville or somewhere like that for a holiday.

Yes, you read my mind.

This crap is utterly dreadful. Yet again August is more like an average October than a summer month. I envy everybody who lives in a warm sunny climate.
