We had our 6th highest warmest April for the county( SE Pa.). The high temperature was 90 degrees. The 1940s had the warmest . A cool spell at the end of April brought the average down. In one week I cut the grass and it never got above 50 degrees for the day and in a few days it got to 90. Above average precipitation so far.
May is turning out very nice. Warmer than normal by about 10 degrees although we're in for a cold snap this weekend. 35 to 40 degree overnight temps are forecast, I hope the tomatoes can handle it.

Terrible for our farmers of course. We don't need any more ugly and droughty weather.

In ATL, it was 70s-80s, sunny, and dry most of the month. One of the warmest April that I can remember in recent times.... usually for a day or two in April its back to winter. Where the low is around 32 and the high is around 50. Not this year, the lowest was probably like 38-40 degrees and the lowest high was probably around 65. I loved it,esp since it has been consistently chilly and rainy from about Thanksgiving of 09 to the end of March 2010 w/ minimal warm to mild days. This was well deserved for us. Sunny, dry, and warm!
