I'm hosting a wedding shower in a few weeks and plan to fill a jar with a bunch of objects, have everybody enter their guess of how many are in the jar, and whoever gets closest wins the jar and its contents. Does anyone have any really good and unique ideas for things to put in it that are somewhat wedding-themed or domestic-themed? Anyone done this at a shower and seen any creative jars? My ideas so far are:
cotton balls
q-tips
bowtie pasta
bobby pins
Looking for something that will make people actually WANT to win (but also inexpensive)! Thanks in advance!
See that's why I asked! (for the record, I use bobby pins like crazy and would appreciate them!)
I'm trying to avoid candy because, for me at least, there is no motivation to win it. I think many of the guests would also not want a jar of candy.... They're pretty health-conscious people.
The only thing that comes to mind besides gumballs or jelly beans are maybe mini scented candle tarts. I wouldn't mind getting a jar of different scented candle tarts for my oil warmer. You can make them yourself and just find small candle tart molds or any small silicone molds for wax or candy.
Or glass rocks, those are cute for vase decorations.
Does the prize have to be the jar and its contents? I'd make the prize something else and use q-tips in the jar for guessing.
No, it doesn't have to be. We are already doing a few other games though and have spent a lot on prizes, and I just happened to use this jar last weekend which prompted this idea, so I could recycle the jar in a useful way.

I don't know what a candle tart is. ??? Maybe because I don't have an oil warmer...?
But I like the rock idea. I actually happen to have a bunch left over from a previous project. I'll add it to my list of ideas. It might be the winner.
