I usually hate the typical games that are played at showers but that game was not as bad as most.
You start with a list of 20 or 25 (or maybe more) items and the most common (comb, tissue, pencil) you get one point and for more unusual items (nail file, full size hair brush) count as 2 or 3 points. Even more unusual items (paycheck stub, letter with a foreign stamp) count as maybe 5 points and really, really unusual items (thermometer, tape measure) count as 10 points. The winner has the most points. It is fun as people with a lot of more common things can win or someone with just a couple of rather unusual items. It involved a lot of laughing and people calling out "I have a ----".
