Not sure what to do? Trying to find an upbeat song. Appreciate any suggestions.

Every wedding I've ever been to the mother/son always danced to Sunrise, Sunset but that is really old fashioned. Did you try googling it?

I have usually seen that song (Sunrise, Sunset) for the father/daughter dance.

At his wedding, my son and I danced to It's a Wonderful World by Ray Charles.

Run, if you are still planning on getting married I hope that you have worked out all of the issues that were causing numerous problems in your interactions & relationship with your fiancée.

I just went to my niece's wedding. Her husband and his mother danced to Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up". Not a dry eye in the house. It was beautiful.

Here's a novel suggestion: ask your mother what song SHE would like.

I think it should be a song that has some meaning for you and your mother.

I've never seen a specific "mother/ son" dance. I've only seen the mother and groom start dancing about halfway through the father / bride dance. At least that's how it typically happens at the weddings I have been to.

Oh, they do the mother/son thing all the time at the weddings I've been to. Sometimes it's been "Wind beneath my wings", which just grates me because it sounds as if the mother is saying the son is her hero. The dance is supposed to honor the MOTHER, not make her wittle boy look special.

I have seen it done both ways.

When I have heard it, I always assumed it meant that the Mom was the hero to the son.
