What if they offered you the job?! They'd know as soon as you filled out and turned in your insurance paperwork that you're not really married. I know what you mean about some companies thinking you're more stable and mature if you're married, though.

My father never wore one. He went from being a rail to chunking up in his later years...and I guess you're supposed to have it resized. My mother, on the other hand, is a widow and still wears her wedding band.

Rather than for dating purposes or dating avoidance, I've often wondered about wearing one if I ever had a job interview. Some people in some types of organizations don't like single people, so it would be interesting to see how they acted if one wore a wedding band. On the other hand, if they're that uptight, maybe one doesn't need to work with them.

I know people who have tried the technique and also who have had their real engagement rings/wedding bands on. There are just some people it won't stop.

Like these guys I knew used to say, "Just because there's a goalie don't mean you can't score!" Yeesh.

Yup-yup, I typically do. But it works the opposite for me, I get way more men hitting on me than not when I wear it. Now that I decided to not date for the now, I have taken it off.

LOL I dont know why i found this funny. I think the wedding ring would keep women away more than the Bible. If I saw someone walking around with a Bible, its not a turn off lol. I wear my promise rings when Im going to bars (they look like an engaement ring and a wedding band) and it doesnt stop people from hitting on me but it justifies my response. Sometimes when you tell a guy you have a boyfriend they dont care

I don't wanna be creepy are stinky to ward off women. I just wanna be that nice guy that is committed elsewhere (even though he really isn't) so there is no tension that develops if I befriend a person of the opposite sex.

I was just joking. But you're fooling yourselve that there won't be any tension if you are perceived [or actually are] commited elsewhere. What if this person is THE ONE - because you know alot of times you aren't looking and find THE ONE and I'm speaking from my experiences.

Even if I was married I wouldn't wear a ring. I hate rings in general, very uncomfortable.

Don't bother - it seems women these days are much more interested in men that are actually wearing wedding rings.
