When I was single I had a fake cz ring that I wore when I did not want to be bothered with. I usually just turned it around so the stone would be in the guy's face and I would say in a very nice way that I was taken.

When I was pregnant with my first son my hands swelled up and I had to have my rings cut off. I decided not to get a band or anything but then I started being treated in a less than desireable way because people thought I was not married...they were rude! So I went out, bought a band, had my priest bless it and I wore that until I delivered my son. I figure I'll give it to him someday.
