I was invited to a wedding in September and do not have anything "wedding wear". I do have a beige/tan dress, very nice, silk material. Would this be okay to wear?
Definitely! It sounds nice, understated buy classy. The only thing that's a definite no no for a wedding is white--you don't upstage the bride. Also, many consider black in bad taste, as its better suited for mourning.
If you're concerned its not "dressy" enough, add some "bling" some jewelry, perhaps a scarf or jacker or shawl, beaded purse, you get the idea!
Actually I think any colour can be worn at weddings, Ive seen black, purple, green, and yes, even brown. Lol, Ive even been in a western-days wedding where a cowboy hat and horses were part of the setup, lol.
I think the beige dress sounds lovely. Maybe with a string of pearls and pearl earrings? Simple is most often the dressiest look out there.
