Hi everyone!

I'm new here. I am getting married in december and I would like to buy my future husband a watch as a wedding gift. My desire would be to get him a high end
watch and I was thinking of brands such as: Longines, Piaget, Bertolucci. I already have one option for each of the three names.

This is for Longines: http://longinesusa.com/4-378516011-B0028RCB0U-Longines_Mens_Watches_Classic_L47094712_WW.html (broken link)
What do you think of those brands?

L.

The Longine is a beautiful watch and would make an excellent wedding gift for your future husband.

How old is your future husband? What does he do for work? What type of clothes does he like to wear? And of course, what is the target price range?

The thing I would pay most attention to (particularly if purchasing without him) is the size of the watch. Most younger guys are wearing larger watches (~40mm and up to grandfather clock size). The watch pictured is very nice looking and looks great, but the size is a little small. If he is a small individual it might work very well for him though.

Also, would he value the movement at all? I prefer mechanical self-winding movements myself (no batteries). However, if he doesn't like to be bothered to wind his watch if he hasn't worn it for a few days, or doesn't want to be troubled with placing it on a watch winder, then he probably wouldn't like one.

He is 27, he studies Business Administration and he is preparing for a job in a bank. He doesn't really like sport watches, so I thought a classic watch to be more appropriate.

The Longines watch is a very classic looking watch. I am sure he would love it, and it looks very appropriate for a bank job. Congratulations!

on the watch from me.

As for wearing a watch on your wedding day...who? You or your furture husband? I'd say "Yay" if you're asking about your FH.

Remember to have something engraved on the back...I had "Our time will never end" and our wedding date engraved on my husband's.

I was thinking the same thing about getting the watch engraved. I would say something like 'our love is timeless' or 'I will love you till the end of time'.

I'm sure that no matter which watch you choose he will love it!

Congratulations and best wishes to you both.
