Could someone recommend a credit union near
2801 PGA BLVD
Palm Beach Gardens FL

or

12575 US HWY 1
Juno Beach FL?

Are you a member?
Do they have a referral reward program, such that both the referrer and referree get a cash bonus when a new member joins?

Thanks City Guy. Now, if you could get someone to refer you to join, you could earn $50, they could earn $50, then you refer me, so that you earn another $50 for referring me and I earn $50 for joining.

I only know of 2 that are open to all people in PBC. Both are down on congress south of the airport. I happen to belong to "First Choice Credit Union". The bank is 23 miles away, but we seldom go there because we use on-line banking. The debit card is good at all Publix ATM's(Presto) for a small fee. Publix (and most retailers) themselves do not charge any fee for purchasing.

Yes, I looked into PBC and First Choice but they dont offer a bonus for joining. All things being equal, Id like to join one that offers $25-50 or more free money as a reward for joining.

Well seeing that Credit Unions are member owned, did you ever think that the majority of members are not in favor of give-aways, but would rather have low loan rates, and lower fee's?

There isn't any free lunch, unless you are living off the government like 49% of the people out there.

The members dont make the decision of offering a referral bonus or not. The decision is set by management.

Secondly, the cost to acquire a member/customer is around $150-200 via advertising. If the CU/Bank does a refer a friend program, they can get current members to refer new members and then give the bonus to each for the current member advertising with a personal recommendation. The credit union or bank is actually spending money to SAVE money by spending $50 on a referral program vs $150-200 in advertising via tv, billboards, radio, etc. Furthermore, its better to be giving those advertising dollars to your own member customers, many of which will put it in the bank, not to mention the goodwill they build by rewarding exisiting member customers for the referral.

If you think there isnt any free lunch you are narrow-minded and mistaken. It takes some work to use coupons, free after rebate products, or simply shopping around and comparing prices. And no, Im not one of the 49% getting government assistance.

Try Gold Coast Federal Credit Union. I think they have a branch in PGA. They have a few all over PBC last I check but it has been a few years since I was a member.
