My Family and I are moving to the WPB area and would really like some opinions on where to look in the WPB area. I truely appreciate any help given.

Some history...

Single parent, 2 kids (18 & 13), income roughly $90k, moving from a 3bed 2bath 2 car 2200sqft house with a pool on 2 acres. I'm looking for something similar. Neighborhoodscout.com states Wellington is very similar to the suburb town we are coming from.

My 18 yr old will be attending college this fall, any college input would be great too.

We are thinking of renting, preferably a house with a pool. Will buy after being established with company. I'm an IT executive with 20 yrs experience and an MBA. In case you know of a open position as I am always looking to network.

Your thoughts?

I live in Wellington and I love it. It's a great community with lots of activities. The schools are good and there are lots of younger families living here. You definitely won't find the acreage that you had in OK in South FL though!

I'm not sure what your budget is, but I would imagine most 3/2/2 houses would be at least 1600 plus a month to rent. Although you may be able to find town home or condo/villa a little bit cheaper.

As far as colleges go, there's Palm Beach Atlantic University which is in West Palm Beach and is a private school. There's also Florida Atlantic University in Boca which is a state school as well as Palm Beach State which is in Lake Worth.

Good luck with your move!

If you are looking for acreage, you will likely be looking at property in Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee, Palm Beach Country Estates or Jupiter Farms.

Depending on what activities you like, preference of church, etc. it would be easier to direct where you may want to focus your search.

If you like a lot of time at the beach, I would search more to the north end, Jupiter Farms, PBCE.

Feel free to reach out and I can give you a little more direction.
