Make sure you can find a job here to afford the lifestyle, it's often not as easy as people think. South Florida is not known for jobs or careers in general, it can often be hard to sustain life due to the high cost of living mainly rent and the low salaries you may end up having to take.

This goes for educated people as well, there are not real big employers here and the norm is often small business, often not managed so well and the owners McMansion and Mercedes with reserved parking spot out front is more important than your salary or review....when things get tough they won't take cuts in their lifestyle, but they always cut staff without a blink of an eye.

I remember old advice about choosing the area:
watch area after working hours, who get in, who get out.

Thanks for all the feedback! I am in the Higher Education employment area and there are so many colleges and Universities in the area I am hopeful that I will find something. The HR Director in the Univerity I work for now has a contact in So. Fl and when the time gets closer will reach out to her. I will also be renting out my home in NJ and will have monthly income from that along with savings to get me by in case I dont find something right away. My BF is there already and is working so that's half the battle. I am coming down in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone has any imput on some of the rental communities I mentioned in a previous post….Bella Vista Boca Del Mar, Gables Boca Place, and perhaps the other Gables residences, Savannah Place, San Marino and Archstone Boca Town Center. Thanks!!!
