Thanks!

The ranch is all fenced off now, but you can see some of the old buildings. I think the ranch was lost to Burt's wife in a divorce and was sold. The community is asking for it to expand the park.

Default Jupiter Farms - Burt Reynold's Ranch

Burt does NOT live there. Hasn't lived there in years. The school District owns it. Eventually a major K-12 campus will be built there. Old buildings that were in disrepair were removed.

If people have young children this is a big attraction. Jupiter Farms has its own Elementary school and the first school planned in the "complex" will be a Middle School.

It is possible that your kids might not have to leave the Farms to attend school at least until HS.

Are you saying the Burt Reynolds mansion was big enough to transform into a school?
I've never seen photos of this home. All I remember is that at the time he lived in Jupiter Farms that he was married to Lorrie? Do correct me.

The land is what she was talking about. Most of the buildings are gone. The old ranch is prime real estate along Jupiter Farms Road and adjacent to the community park.

He was married to Lonnie Anderson back in the day.

Default Its for sure now!

We are def. moving to Jupiter now...so thank you for all your replies concerning Jupiter Farms. I was out there just last weekend looking at some houses that were up for rent. I was just telling my kids about the neighborhood today! We will have 2 in the elementary, and then 1 in the middle school. We are moving from a pretty run down area (we've only been here 6 mths, and never moved before this) so we really want to make sure we make the "right" move this time! Any more info on the farms would be GREATLY appreciated! There are a lot of kids in the farms, correct?? Thanks!!

Default Jupiter Farms - Kids

There are a lot of kids here. We have a community Park on Jupiter Farms Road with Baseball fields, soccer fields and there is a horse park with a riding arena. During the winter (6 mos) we have horse shows each month that are geared more toward kids. There are shows in other areas nearby.

It is a nice family place. We have our own shopping center. Some roads are paved... some are not. Speed limit is 30 mph max which keeps it a bit safer than some other areas.

The person who said it is the land... regarding Burt's old place is right. It is 165 acres of some of the most pristine land in the area! The school District would keep a large section of the land untouched as part of the learning experience. They envision some agricultural and horticultural studies to be at that campus. They had a community meeting and if it goes the way they say it would be quite unique.

The people in the Farms are much more laid back than in other areas of PB County.

Without a doubt, you will love it!! You are doing the right thing by renting as prices will continue to drop for years to come.

Kids are everywhere. They ride horses, do 4-H stuff, play ball at the local park, ride ATVs and dirt bikes.....it is a kid's dream come true! Oh yeah, and the beach is only 15 minutes away!!
