There are two forms of public transportation:

Bus
Palm Tran Maps and Schedules

TriRail
Tri Rail | South Florida Regional Transportation Authority

I do not know about specific neighborhoods but the above links will give you an idea.

Hello, I did a little searching and can see that PBSC is not exactly helpful with transit info. The best I could find is Palm Trans Maps and Schedules, which show some routes those buses run. Some go to your school, and some shuttle between your school and Boca Raton, where there is a branch campus. Boca Raton is a safe city and depending on what your program is and where your classes are, it might be a good place to rent and then take the bus up to your West Palm Beach classes. There are lots of students that attend Florida Atlantic U or Palm Beach State, which has a branch on the Boca Campus.

It looks to me as if W. Palm Beach itself has a route that begins at the WPB outlet malls and goes down and after one or two stops takes in Palm Beach State Colege. I don't live in West Palm Beach, so I don't know if the Outlet Mall location is near rentals, but if it is and they are in a safe area, that might be your best bet.

Perhaps people who read this list who know this part of Palm Beach County will know more about the bus routes and what the Palm Beach Outlet Mall area is like. I live down in Boca Raton 20 miles away, but Boca is a nice place to live. Student rentals here are not inexpensive, though.

You should know that people with student id travel at a reduced rate on the buses if you can find a rental near the bus routes.

I wish I could be of more help. The college website is not helpful, and I thought it might be.

Edited to add: Some of my students take the commuter train, Tri-Rail, and there is a shuttle bus that goes to the campuses, so if you look for rentals along the Tri-Rail routes, there will be transit to school. It's not always a reliable service, however, a bit subject to breakdowns when I have taken it. Check "Tri-Rail Routes" on Google.

Thank you for replying everyone, now I'm considering to rent an apartment near the campus, like Congress Park and Emerald Lake apartments.

Maybe check out an apt review site. You have to be careful when reading the reviews because the view is generally negative. Someone might have had a bad experience and left a dramatic review. Also - try to look at current reviews. Apartments tend to change staff a lot. I hate to say this but the two apartments you listed, I have not found good reviews.

In regards to choosing a place before you move here, I highly advise you to rent a place for at least a week and check your options out. Below is a site where you can rent someone's room/condo/house for a period of time. Normally it is cheaper than renting a hotel. It will also be in a residential area so will help you get a feel for the area.
