Hi, I am going to take a job in Boynton Beach. I am from the Carolinas and currently live in a small, rural beach community. I have traveled to South Florida numerous times over the past few months and still have no real idea where may be the best option for me to live. I am a very genuine Southern woman and very down to earth. I probably wouldn't do very well with very highly populated areas or places where many pretentious people live. While I can easily get along with anyone, I prefer to not associate with fake people. I prefer professional and affluent areas so I will be able to meet people with similar backgrounds etc. I enjoy good restaurants, shopping, some live music from time to time, not a big partier, but do like to go to a nice bar occasionally. I am used to driving 35 minutes to work, so a short commute is not out of the question for me. My job only requires I work 9 days a month, so living right in the immediate Boynton area is not a requirement. I would prefer some peace and quiet at home. Would love to be on the water somewhere, either intracoastal on ocean. However, peace and quiet is huge for me. I can drive to go out and do things. I would prefer a townhome, condo, or a small bungalow somewhere. I am accustomed to a nicer home and fear in order to find something I am willing to live in I will have to sacrifice either the water or the amenities in the home in order to stay in a decent price range. My price range is up to $3K, but I much prefer to spend less on a place to live so I can travel more. Any ideas where I may find some success? Thanks so much for your help.

Ocean Ridge, Delray, Hypoluxo Island, Singer Island, Juno, Jupiter all sound similar to what you are describing in many ways.
You have quite a few places that would work since it sounds like you are pretty flexible.
I'm assuming you mean $3k a month for a rental?
I don't work too much with rentals but I'd think you could find something in all of these areas.

Thank you and yes I was referring to a rental, at least until I sell my home here.
