Ok I will preface this a bit, I am sort of a beer snob. I like to try different beers and I am always out to find some of the best beers out there. I go to different craft beer fairs. I am from Long Island, NY and I just got a place in Palm Beach Gardens.

I have been trying to find a real beer distributor where I can purchase some good craft beers and stuff that may be a little on the harder to get side. I have tried googling different beverage places and such, and every one I have been to just winds up being what I call a Florida bodega. I have been to Publix, Whole Foods, yes they have an "ok" selection but not something I could call great by any means and I am already quite bored of what they have. Some of the beverage places I go to in Long Island have a serious selection, hundreds of different beers to choose from.

Does a place like this exist? I want a real place to buy beer. Any place that also sells wine and even alcohol probably doesn't fit for what I am looking for. I wouldn't even mind travelling a little bit to find something, I would just stock up a little more if I had to travel a bit.

Thanks in advance.

You are lucky. On PGA there is a Total Wine and they sell more different types of beer than you could drink in a year. They have one wall dedicated to single bottle sales of beer from all over the world.

Just give it a try - and don't be concerned that they also sell wine and alcohol at great prices. Just walk to the left when you walk in and start shopping.

Well, if you're looking to sample and not buy it by the truck load, there's always World of Beer on Clematis Street in West Palm.

I went today. It was good. They didn't have some hard to find beers I was looking for, but it definitely works. Thanks again.

you might also give Whole Foods a try. we went there yesterday and they also had a nice selection of different beers. Not as much as Total Wine, but maybe they will have what Total Wine is missing.

Also, Total Wine will order you wine, so I am sure they could also order a beer you might be looking for. But you might get stuck with a case.

AJ's Beer City in Jupiter should fit the bill. If you want to pay up, there is the BX Beer Depot in West Palm (it is in a sketchy area however). They also have a cute little hidden tiki bar in the back where they have live bands. You could always join The Palm Beach Draughtsmen and drink some stellar home brews! Tell 'em Cheryl sent ya. Enjoy! P.S. I would imagine by now you've discovered the Yardhouse. Rotating selection of beers on tap...like 100 of them, I think! Also, Twisted Trunk just opened on corner of PGA/Ellison Wilson. Same guys that own Tequesta Brewing Co. (TBC) in Tequesta. Due South is in Boynton. If you want to go for a drive, Big Bear is in Coconut Creek and has yummy food.
