All this building and tearing down of gorgeous old trees just makes me sad. I wish they could've built around them somehow. It would have looked more beautiful. Communities like Mirasol and Foxe Chase have done it, but now it's all just bulldoze and grab.

Pretty soon you won't be able to move in the gridlock there. I have never seen such an overbuilt suburb. It's absolutely terrible and driving there is a nightmare. You either have aggressive punks cutting you off and riding your tail, or grandma in the left lane driving 25 in a 40.

Everyone is Jewish in Boca and has the biggest Jewish population in Palm Beach County. Also you won't have any issues to find a restaurant that is kosher-style or some strictly kosher...if you keep the traditions.

Not true. Read this:

"“I think today we are no longer simply a retirement community,” said Jewish demographer Ira Sheskin, a professor of geography at the University of Miami.

The Jews of South Florida boast several distinctions. Palm Beach County has the oldest median Jewish age in the country, 70, according to the last Jewish community study of the area. The southern part of Palm Beach County has the highest density in the country of Jews proportionate to the total population: 49 percent, according to the same survey"

That's very high, but it's not everyone

Well, the local news is where I got my info from. It was either on the news this year or last year I recall. There were issues in the Jewish Community there and they brought up the statistics. I would never want to live in Boca because the traffic is so crazy there like up east~! I do enjoy shopping there tho and I deal with it the best I can.

There are pockets in Boca, just like other ethnicities. There are neighborhoods that are almost entirely jewish.

As I've posted before, Boca has a bit of everyone. And none of the cultures mix, mostly by choice.

Boca Raton is known as a Jewish town but it has a lot of Italians and Latinos as well. Boca is a bit like Pembroke Pines it has every type of person and every type of income. I like Boca it is a mostly nice town to live and raise a family, a bit boring for singles thou.

The traffic is horrible especially around FAU and Whole Foods. The mall is a great place to shop, but not to buy. Most of the smaller stores sell everything at full retail. Better to shop online.

I know that mall is expensive~! I only shop at Macy's. They have some good deals around the holidays and better stuff than where I'm originally from.

If gated communities with high HOA fees, controlling committees and a highly contrived feel aren't your thing, Palm Beach Farms and the neighborhood behind Boca Raton Regional Hospital (can't recall the precise name) are your best bets. Easily my two favorite neighborhoods in Boca.
