Well, no since in asking the question again when it's already in the title.

additional questions however are,.....
  • Which areas to avoid?
  • Is it cheaper and safer to live in the western side of the city (Also what is that side of the city like? Is it like West Boca for instance)?
  • Is it safe to walk or drive around at night (Or at anytime rather) in the city?
  • Is Delray a city for sophisticated types, older folks, young professionals, young hipsters, or the thug/gang types (Honestly, I rather live in a city with classy sophisticates and even new money snobs than not so nice young thug types)?
  • Is it family oriented?
  • I heard the schools aren't good but are they safe at least (Not really a big concern, as I do not have any kids, and won't anytime soon)?
  • Do you have to constanly worry about violence or burglary in the city?
  • What about the type of jobs there, are there alot of good ones within the city limits, or would you have to drive down to Boca?

Areas to avoid- Stay west of Military Trail, within Downtown, or east of US1.
Cheaper to live west?- No. More expensive due to it being more desirable.
Safe at night?- Downtown is, east of US1 is, west of Congress is. The rest, no.
Sophisticated types or young/gang types?-Both. It's a weird mix between the two. The far east and west portions are, once again, more like Boca and the in between sections are probably not what you are looking for.
Is it family oriented?-No. Poor schools and aged population.
Schools aren't good but safe- Actually, the schools are mostly good as far as educational quality is concerned, but aren't safe.
Do you constantly worry about violence or burglary in the city?- My family in west Delray does not behind their guarded gate, but if you live east of Congress you might have to worry about it. Most places in Palm Beach County has an above-average rate of burglary (thus the abundance of gated communities), but burglary can and does happen anywhere.
Jobs- Mostly to the south in Boca. Not much in Delray.

Areas to avoid- Stay west of Military Trail, within Downtown, or east of US1.

That depends, there are nice developments in those areas with $$$ homes some adjacent to $$$ Country Clubs but the area tends to look worn out and lacks curb appeal until you get into the gates.

Not really accurate, it's more expensive to live east of US1 or along the intercoastal.

Safe at night?- Downtown is, east of US1 is, west of Congress is. The rest, no.

Depends on the area, even Downtown late at night is risky.

Sophisticated types or young/gang types?-Both. It's a weird mix between the two. The far east and west portions are, once again, more like Boca and the in between sections are probably not what you are looking for.

Delray is a mixed bag but retirees are in high numbers, wealthy types and average people. Median age is 43, though you would swear it's older going to Publix lol.

Is it family oriented?-No. Poor schools and aged population.

Agree, not like Wellington and further west it's mainly active adult or places like Kings Point, also adjacent to Boynton Beach which is made up of mainly retirees.

Schools aren't good but safe- Actually, the schools are mostly good as far as educational quality is concerned, but aren't safe.

If you can afford it send your kids to American Heritage School in Delray and avoid Florida Public Schools period.

Can happen anywhere anytime, a lot of break-ins are sometimes inside jobs or by someone you know. Invest in a a good alarm system and have common sense.

Jobs- Mostly to the south in Boca. Not much in Delray.

Yes and No, that depends on your line of work. Office Depot HQ are in Delray along with other smaller firms.
