Would anyone in the Jupiter/Tequesta/PBG area mind sharing what they pay for homeowners insurance? I currently live in NE FL, have a home built in 2013 that is around 3,000 sqft with a pool. My insurance is around $850/year, which carries a 2% hurricane deductible and a $1,000 deductible for anything else.

I'm trying to figure out the difference in cost of housing while evaluating a potential move down there, and can't seem to get a straight answer on what home owners insurance rates are. I'd love to hear from some folks what their rates are, and what type of house/coverage they have.

Thanks

Anything built before 2001 will be more expensive. The hurricane codes for new construction changed that year.
Tequesta has lots of older homes.

Your square footage/pool facts don't really help as the house insurance is based on replacement value not the size/features.

Jupiter/Tequesta is also split into 2 counties. Palm Beach will be marginally more than Martin County.

A 500K home built after 2001 will likely cost you $3500 a year for insurance
