OP: I am from a Latino background (family is from Argentina). My extended family lives in Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. When we lived in Florida, we lived in Jupiter. Does Jupiter have a large latino population? No. Are there latinos there? Yes. I had a nice group of acquaintences that were from Uruguay and Cuban background. The area we lived in off Loxahatchee River Road was mostly WASP.

I'm really at a loss to answer your question. I think it's going to be hit or miss for you. You might have better luck in south county - Boynton Beach, Wellington, or Royal Palm Beach. Good Luck.

Don't you know that all Latin ares are run down and dangerous? Geez...

But... yeah. The Latin neighborhoods are in Lantana, Lake Worth, West Palm Beach, Palm Springs, and Greenacres. No need to speculate that anymore. In South County Boynton Beach has the most, and out west your best bet is in Wellington.

Thank you for all the replies. I'm not looking for an area that is mostly Latino/Hispanic, but just an area where my kids and husband aren't (almost) the only ones.

You've all given us some food for though.

Try the Port Salerno area of Martin County. (Stuart) Martin County has good schools. The area I'm talking about is a commuinty redevelopment area, but new townhomes are in plans right now. You will get more for your money in Port Salernow, though houses are smaller as many are older. However, the upside means they also have yards and sidewalks. Its an ethnicly diverse area but also low income and can have related problems, but being a waterfront community its growing changing and becoming better.

Look in the Loxahatchee area. I grew up here but I was born in Cuba. We've lived in Loxahatchee for 8 years now and find that there is a good mix of heritages, and more coming in each day as the sales prices of the homes has gone down dramatically due to people having to leave their houses (just like anywhere I guess). My neighbor and good friend has her home on the market for $369k - it's a newer built home in 2001 and tiled throughout. You have to be careful what you buy in that some of the homes in the area are older and wood frame, which considering our summer season here is not as safe as having a solid concrete block construction. By the way, great schools, both my children went to them. The H.S., Seminole Ridge is only 3 years old. Both the HS & middle school Osceola Creek are just a few years old. Good luck in your search.

I'm really new to this forum and I'm curious as to why my reply was editted to remove some of the information I had typed & also I had included 2 links. I was just looking at another post where the same type of information was appearing. Can someone clarify if you know the answer. Thanks!

If you're just looking for a place where there are SOME latin americans then any area in PB, Broward, Dade should do. You would be hard pressed to find a neighborhood in the tri county area where there are not a few latins.
