They say it's not the bottom yet. I believe it. People are having a horrible time trying to sell in Florida. Alot of the transplants are going elsewhere to buy homes other than Florida now.

Here is the price change index for the West Palm Beach metro area since 1980 something.

I'm STILL wondering why people are crying that they've "lost" increase in value in their homes, when it was an anomaly to begin with. I only feel sorry for those who bought at bubble prices.

Anyways, why are HIGH prices good to begin with?
Insane.
All that happened as a result is that we were fleeced through higher taxes.

the gains arent wiped out if they were never gains in the first place. unless u sold your house at the peak of the upswing then u had no gains...it was all a myth and now its going back to reality. in the end, u may find your house is worth less than it was before the boom.
