I'm looking to rent or sale my 2br. unit in The Strand

I know the basics - The Strand is closer to 'downtown' proper, while The Slade is further up north on N Flagler - I am more interested in which is the better bulding overall, is either of them a nightmare (has anyone ever stayed there or heard first hand info?).. also, is the Slade considered too far for 'Downtown' living , by which I mean would it be safe and good to walk back there after a night out on, say, Clematis?

Finally, if you were forced to pick - which would you go for?

I am not interested in the other condos as I quite like the waterfront-ish ones more, although the Tower at CityPlace seems nice, for instance. If I'm missing out on anything amazing by only considering these two, let me know.

And sorry about the length of this.

I have lived in The Slade for two years and I love it! The building is walkable to clematis, though I wouldnt suggest walking back alone at night.(but that is anywhere in downtown). It is a cheap cab ride, or now you can use iJoyride. While the building is a little bit more north than you might like, it is also very close to Northwood village, which is a totally different vibe from clematis with some great restaurants. You are also close to the north bridge and the restaurants on Palm Beach Island.

The building is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. I would suggest this building 100%
