I guess I would ask myself do I love the new place in Ft Lauderdale that it is worth driving for and adding hours to the day. Will the place make you happy and living in that location that it would be worth it or are long days at work going to bring you down. Think long term cause once an awhile longer drives are ok but on a daily basis it may get old and you may feel you are at work constantly just because you have to leave so early and come home later. If the place though just feels right that may make the drive worth it. Good luck in your choice

Cool Tri Rail ???

Have you looked into Tri Rail commuting?

there's two stations near West Palm and I'm sure you could get a cab or a bus to your other destination or maybe make arrangements with a co-worker to pick you up from the Station.

there's a stop in Ft Lauderdale as well

it would save gas and stress

My wife bought me Sirius Satellite Radio and i commute daily from Lake Worth to Miami Lakes...take the Turnpike the whole way down to 95 and it takes me between 1 hour and 1 hour and 15 minutes. Not bad at all......I believe on average I have run into one accident a month which does slow things down...if you are someone who likes unwinding in the car it is not a bad trip and like someone mentioned before you would be going against traffic......live where you will be happy and work from there.....
