comcast or att in pbc (deal, phone, charge)

Are there any opinions on whether to use comcast or att for tv/internet and phone? What about direct tv?

We only had ATT for phone (still do) and internet but at one point we began having a problem and they could never find the solution so I just cancelled it and my son opened an account with Comcast for cable which came with a nice offer of basic TV at a very reduced rate for 6 months. The best part is that cable turned out to be much more reliable and FASTER than the best DSL ATT had and even if the TV part goes for some reason, the internet continues to work.

I had ATT's DSL service for about six weeks this spring. It worked only about 1/3 of the time since the modems, a total of three, kept burning out (diagnosed by an ATT technician who installed the third modem). I eventually became disgusted and cancelled my service, only to find out that I was being charged for the initial modem, despite having returned all three defective ones. Because of this, I now have both phone and internet through Comcast, and I will NEVER deal with ATT again.
