Hi, My ne'er do well brother-in-law is looking to rent a condo/apt? in Jupiter Bay Resort; JBR East Building B, to be exact.

It is furnished, and the price is $1000 per month, plus 11.5% tax ($115), $75 admin fee, $135 cleaning fee, $500 security deposit.
This is through a realtor.

Anyone with knowledge of this place, and does the monthly tariff, including all the add-ons, (especially the "tax"), seem reasonable?

He is coming off the ropes, so to speak; my wife is the trustee of his dwindling little nest egg, so she & I are just trying to keep our fingers
in the d i ke and head off a bad deal, which for him is typical.

Any opins are welcome, but we aren't really looking for "go here/go there", etc., as we got him off the large house rental kick, at least.
Just trying for damage control, and to steer him, via long distance...
BR, mD

Anything under 7 months includes either an 11% or an 11.5% tax. I'm not sure which one or if broward and palm beach county are different. I think it's an outragous amount. Before i knew this i wondered why so many apt. complexes offered leases for 7 months or more. Why not 6, i thought. Turns out they just don't want to be involved with the taxes and being responsible for passing that money to wherever it needs to go.

6 months...
He has barely a 3 digit FICO, so he has to pay that 6 months up front.
He drives my wife crazy, as she is trustee of his nearly defunct funds.
Ah, family.
