I am in my fifties and visiting Boca Raton-Delray Beach area and looking for some live rock or swing music to hopefully do some dancing. Any suggestions?

Latitudes the restaurant in the Holiday Inn, in Highland Beach has nice music...gets an older crowd..and also the Marriott on A1A and Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach.....also the Pavilion grille..It's in
an office building on Old Dixie Hgwy and Yamato...they have a website and have different venues of
music each night....try www.steppingoutflorida.com.....gives you a pretty good rundown of places.

Delray Patty, On another post you mentioned your great grandfather was Alsatian, in the French Foreign Legion in the late 1800's and migrated to the US. My great grandfather was also from Alsace and in the FFL in the late 1800's. He came to the US in 1904. I sent you a message with more info, not sure if you saw it.

E French, yes I saw it... I have a copy of the ships' manifest that my grandfather came here on. He came with a sister...My great grandfather came for a visit and stayed with my grandparents but went back to France..It was during Prohibition and he hated it, LOL..He is buried in Strasburg...

I assume it isn't the same surname then? The story concerning my grandfathers return was that he was diagnosed with cancer and went back to France via Paris to be buried in the late 40's. I never met him either although I did meet one of his brothers in the late 50's at my grandmothers while he was visiting "the Americans." Very rigid fellow.
