Having lived in Chicago much of my life, most of my life, I'm accustomed to the sounds of freight trains and elevated trains (public transit). I'd feel a bit lost without hearing the sounds in the distance. I've thought about moving to WPB, as one possible option in retirement, and hadn't thought about trains. Thanks for the mention.

I moved into a house in Evergrene two months ago. Previously, I lived in the tranquil mountains in the Vail Valley of Colorado. I live on the "east" side of Evergrene - which would be closest to the track. Yes, I hear the train. Every once in a while (not every train) you feel the bed vibrate a bit.....but nothing as severe as people are describing. Matter of fact, I rarely even notice the "noise" of the train. Evergrene is situated in one of the most convenient areas - close to everything. Not to mention the safety of this community and the upkeep - it's impeccable. We're renting now, but plan to buy next July when our lease is up. This is from a girl who lived 14 years near nothing.....literally 30 minutes from a McDonalds......
