Question Wellington vs. Jupiter

I'm still researching areas to move to and I liked both areas mentioned from what I've read about. I just want to get more opinions about these areas to move to. Any ideas, thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. Thanx.

Of course the best would be to visit both. I have said Jupiter because it's my preference. The biggest difference in my opinion, is that Jupiter is minutes to the ocean. Wellington is more like 30 minutes inland. I prefer being closer to the coast. Wellington is so far west. Where might you be working? That could play as a factor too. I also prefer the palm beach gardens mall and shopping around that area which is very close to jupiter. You also have convenient waterfront dining which you don't have in Wellington. It's a matter of preference.

Here is a link to the schools. Click on palm beach county for grades of specific schools.

FYI

Wellington is not 30 minutes from the beach. It's easy to hope on Southern Blvd and be at the water in 15 minutes, especially since they turned it into a expressway.

Wellington is more centrally located, so your closer to Miami and all points south then being in Jupiter. Wellington is also adjacent to the FL Turnpike.

I would visit and make your own conclusions. If you work and your job is in Jupiter I would choose Jupiter, Tequesta or Palm Beach Gardens.

Depending on which beach, Wellington is easily 30 min minimum to the beaches, not really because of distance, mainly traffic lights etc. It did help a bit with the new road, but it's still a hike. I think either town will be wonderful, I think you can get more home for your money in Wellington than Jupiter being it's closer to the beach, but be very careful of homeowners insurance, closer to the beach, higher premiums. Get your rates before making a decision. Good luck!

You obviously never drove on Southern since they improved it. You can reach the beach in 15 minutes easily right to Ocean Blvd. Now as far as finding a parking spot that's another story.

Jupiter, closer to the beach, closer to Palm Beach Gardens, and better air quality.

I have lived in SF for 30 years and know both areas well. I would say Wellington is more family oriented than Jupiter, EVERYWHERE you go there are strollers and SUVs. Jupiter is a better choice if you are single or want a nightlife. There are more dining/bar options in Jupiter and nearby Palm Beach Gardens. Jupiter has spring training and multiple boating/fishing/watersport options. Wellington is known for being an equestrian city. Both have decent hospitals. I find Jupiter draws more of a seasonal crowd than Wellington.
