Thinking of buying home Greenacres, planned neighborhood w. HOA of Dilmann rd. any info about area or neighborhood? All we are beeing told is home is short sale and previous buyer walked. We were told he had time issues and walked! We are about to have inspections done but we are still nervous about the process, schools are not issue kids grown, saftey...well I know it's on the very edge of Wellington area and falls under Greenacres or WPB. I have heard there are some questionable areas nearby, but I feel as long as the neighborhood has no big crime history it will be alright. I mean there are even some areas in Wellington I wouldn't want to move to.. does anyone have any info about the area and or the neighborhood? The home is only 5 years old. Thank you for any info

A lot of buyers walk from short sales because they are not prepared to wait and lose patience. A short sale can take anywhere from 2-6+ months for the bank to accept the offer. Even with a supposed approved price I've seen it still take 3-4 months to actually get an approval letter from the bank.
Do you have approval on the short sale yet in hand? Most people do the inspection after they get the approval in case there are any issues with getting the approval.

Sagewood is a nice community kind of tucked back in a quiet area. There is a school right there so traffic might be a bit of a headache once in awhile.

It is a nice neighborhood, but the communities west of the turnpike in Wellington are preferable (though, of course, more expensive). The areas east of Sagewood are mostly low-income or working-class areas.
