Default Children Activies in Abacoa, Jupiter area

Hi,
I'm intrested in sending my children to either dance school, swimming school or any other typr of sport for 3 and a half year old boy and girl.

Can somebody please tell me if there is anything in Abacoa area. The only thing I found was Mygym and they are very expensive.

Also, is there a place in florida where I can take the kids to do some fruit picking.

Thanks

Default Things for kids in Jupiter

My daughter is also 3 1/2 years old. She really enjoys CATS Gymnastics (they have all different levels of classes). You might also try Gymboree (they have great art classes for that age -- as you know they LOVE to do crafts). Also check out the calendar for the Jupiter Recreation Center. They usually have an ongoing calendar of activities. Tequesta Recreation does have a great program as well, although you will have to pay a little extra for being a non-resident of the City of Tequesta. The Busch Wildlife Rescue is fun for the little ones. They have "animal encounters" and storytelling time - so check their schedule. The Jupiter Library usually has free storytimes and some arts and crafts. Don't forget the miles and miles of gorgeous beaches here in Florida. Sometimes the simplest things are the best!

Sue Howell in Tequesta does great private swim lessons at private pools in the area. My girls loved Atlantic Academy of Arts (Atlantic Arts Academy of Jupiter, Florida) located on Indiantown. My girls attended Cats (Cats Gymnastics - Childrens Gymnastics and Fitness Center) but then we went to Keep Flippin (Keep Flippin' Gymnastics). They're two different animals. Cats is technique oriented while Keep Flippin is fun and performance oriented. Lighthouse Center for the Arts (Lighthouse Center for the Arts) in Tequesta does fabulous art classes and camps but I'm pretty sure they begin at 4 yo. Gymboree worked well for my kids too but they outgrew around 3. I can't give you any advice on fruit picking although there are some great farms around -- why not try Where to Find Pick-Your-Own Fruit / Vegetable Farms and cut-your-own Christmas Tree Farms for that kind of thing. Good Luck.

Don't forget tennis. Great low impact and fun game for kids. They develop hand eye coordination and get lots of exercise. Jupiter Ocean Tennis has great kids programs. Carlin Park does also. Abacoa has some courts.

Our daughter hit her first tennis ball at 19 months old. She now is 3 years 2 months and draws a crowd when she goes to the courts and hits.

3 and a half is the perfect age to get them started in a sport they can play their entire lives.
