Hi, I'll be 55 next year. I'd love to know about very active communities, for us "young" seniors.
Especially for unmarried single seniors.
Price range up to $80,000 or so. Would love a "good, cheap" condo, LOL. (oxymoron?!) My aunt & uncle live in Kings Point, Delray. They love it there. But, I'd love a development with even more "younger", & modern vibes.
Kings Point is always a possibility, of course. There are tons of activities & shows there. But, I would love to know what else is out there, too, especially units with large walk in closets. A garage would be an awesome bonus, too. Adult communities , or all ages communities, that are not too "kid heavy". THX

You are so cute. Can you tell me why Florida is a good place to retire? Low cost of living? Condos prices are not overpriced? Great weather? I wouldn't say great weather... too humid for me, must be indoors with AC the whole day. I do say the water down in FL is very warm. I love the beaches in FL more than CA. Just wondering... I'll be 55 one day and it will be my turn to "migrate" and find myself a nest to "chill-lax".

Large closets and garages won't happen in a 40+ year old 900 sq ft "good cheap condo"

If you want a 1 car garage in a 55 plus community under 100k there are relatively few places as prices have gone up dramatically in the past year. Here are some places that have some from time to time. Whisper Walk and Town Villas in Boca. In Boynton Beach Limetree, Greentree, Bent Tree and Leisureville. There are plenty of condos communities wihout a garage under 80k throughout Boca, Delray and Boynton. Kings Point and Century Village definitely get the majority of the much older 55 plus crowd IMO. In Broward, Wynmoor Village in Coconut Creek has bigger condos than CV or KP with tons of activities and does get that younger 55 plus owner.

HI VietlotUS, hey, that's neat u picked up on my bubbly "cuteness", thx ! Yes, I like the idea of warm weather all year round. Agreed, tho, too humid. Can't say too hot anymore, as it's hotter right now in NJ, with this heat wave, lol.
I deal poker in Atlantic City, still enjoy my job a lot. The Borgata Casino But , I could see myself moving down to south Florida, to be part of a new casino . (if & when ) (a ground floor opportunity) .
I've already dealt poker out in Vegas & L.A., & used to work for the airlines out there. I know I love the good weather And, living in Florida would only be a 2 hour flight away from my sister & family in NJ.

Yup, City Guy, that's is likely the sad reality, LOL . Reality check needed for me, huh ..
That 900 square foot condo describes my aunt & uncles Kings Point unit perfectly. And, with those small closets. I DO love their screened in balcony, with the washer/dryer. It's a nice sized balcony. That's the one thing I really like about their unit .

VERY INFORMATIVE, Jim, thx much !!!! I'm gonna keep my eyes open on listings for that Whisper Walk, & the Town Villas. I like Boca even more than Boynton. Ahhh, Wynmoor , my last bf used to talk about wanting to buy there. And, I like the fact that it's right near the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino.
(I'm a poker dealer in Atlantic City, as was that bf) . I better stay away from that Lesiureville one, tho, as he ended up buying one there, LOL. (out of respect for him, I'll stay away from that one)
