We are moving to Highland Beach and looking for a private golf club. Our club in philly is very exclusive, no tee times, few members, no hassles, just golf in a great setting. I am wondering if there is a club like this near Highland Beach

No way.....that is a short course, catered to hotel guests and not exclusive at all.

Adios Golf Club in Coconut Creek is your closest.......not even sure they allow women to play there!

Adios Golf Club, Ft. Lauderdale
"Adios Golf Club in Fort Lauderdale is my main club," says Marino, who has been a member for 20 years. Designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer and named by former jockey Delvin Miller after one of harness racing's greatest studs, Adios is Marino's main club. "You can go up there and play quick," Marino says. "It's just a fun place." It's also an all men's club, with a clientele that's seemingly a whirlwind who's who of American sports. "Alex Rodriguez is a member there, Chris Carter, Carl Yastrzemski. I play with them occasionally," Marino says. "Bernard Langer, Andy Mill, the fisher. They're all pretty good." Topping the list, though, is the time Marino played against Michael Jordan. "It was a lot of fun because he's competitive," Marino says. "He likes to win, he likes the game." Marino says money changed hands in the end, but is coy about how much (or who won).

If you play golf in South East Florida from May to August late morning every course is pretty quiet due to the heat. The golf etiquette is pretty good, most players take it seriously. Unlike in NYC with a shorter season the courses are packed, so there a private course is great. You may not need that down here, I play a lot, some great semi private courses in Palm Beach County. Also the County courses are very well kept. I'd check out some of the nearby course first, you might be pleasantly surprised.PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens may not be necessary.
