It took us 6 months to find great jobs. We would apply for jobs every day non stop from morning to night. Today we definitely have a higher salary and an amazing quality of life. We live in west Boca and we're so happy here. We can go to the beach every day if we want to. We can take our child to amazing parks for free. There are so many beautiful birds, amazing trees, so much green year round! Our first summer was tough though because our bodies were still used to the intense cold, but as we aclimate, it doesn't bother us nearly as much. When I lived in Michigan, I kept my house at 69 F to sleep comfortably during the summer. Here, after 7 months, I feel cold if the temp is at 74 F. To me, this is paradise and I never plan to leave. There is a huge diversity in population and you hear all types of languages when you go to a store or a park. I love that! If you do too, then it could be perfect for you. It's important to come here, drive around and really pay attention to everything to make sure you could live with it. No place in perfect and there are things that bother me here (U-turns everywhere and no middle lanes, crazy, super slow or distracted drivers, not as many friendly people, West Boca hospital is terrible but I'm hoping to find better options). Other than that, this is pretty much paradise to us. I hope you can find your paradise here soon! Oh and it is definitely possible to get a great big home with a pool and A-rated schools in West Boca for 400K. Best wishes to you and your family!
Thank you I love FL, for this helpful post. I currently live in Michigan, and has been offered a job in Boca. My family is tired of the cold weather here in MI and wants to move there soon. I had few more questions for you before I decide our big move. Will you be able to help me? Can I “PM” you?
Thank you!
