Hi all,

A few months ago, I stated that I was considering a move to either Florida, North Carolina, or Pennsylvania from my native New Jersey. I am now leaning heavily towards Florida as I have family in Palm Beach County.

I'm almost 25 years old and would like to live in a place where I'd be able to meet people and make friends.

For a younger person like me, what are some good places to live? Thanks!

Most 25 yr olds live in a drug rehab place or their parents house!

LMAO!!
Sad but true

I'd suggest looking for something near the colleges.
Such as the area around FAU in Boca or FAU in Palm Beach Gardens.

Lol. I hardly even drink. But seriously, where does a young, educated guy move to in southern Florida? I'm not a yuppie or hipster I'd add.

Downtown West Palm Beach is probably your best bet. Also serves as a ground-zero to explore other areas that may suit you.

To be determined. I am fortunately in a position where I can choose where to live and apply to jobs based on that.

Thank you. I know FAU in Boca, not as familiar with PBG.

I love downtown West Palm. My concern is crime in the area. Am I wrong?

Not a major concern, tbh. Unless you plan on getting drunk and starting fights on Clematis at 3AM.

The outskirts of downtown (to the north) is not desirable for most.

OP it sounds like you need to make a couple trips down and spend some time in different areas.
However, if you do really like downtown WPB-TRiM offers much knowledge.
Best of luck!

Thank you.

I have been visiting Boynton Beach for my entire life as my grandmother and late grandfather have had a place there since 1986. So I am familiar with the area, I just also know there are some areas where it's all 55+ and others with younger people.
