I lived in West Boca for 15 years and it was relatively crime free. It was a place for young families. I preferred it to East Boca which has a lot more issues.

Your leasing budget - to repond to the original poster I just wanted to say that your stated budget of $1,100 is ok - like others have said, you can also look in Coconut Creek and get a lot. BUT, you should also consider cost of renters insurance here. It is probably more than you are paying in another state. So, if you are on a budget you need to consider this for your monthly costs.
