On another thread someone suggested that, if moving to the Boca area (generally speaking), upper level apartments are more expensive. Is that because of noise or because they are safer (harder to access for criminals)? I honestly don't like a lot of stairs and would be happy in a lower level, but I am a woman alone in my 50s and maybe that would not be a safe thing to do? Any thoughts?
(At this time I'm thinking Coconut Creek area. Any thoughts?) Thanks!! |

Upper floors are great (for all the reasons already mentioned) but you may want to consider a first floor entry- an apt in which the stairs are located indoors instead of out. But if stairs are an issue for you, consider moving into a private, gated apt. complex with active security (not just a gate).

Well if you don't have a Guard/Watch Dog get one, and also make sure the Apt. has a included Alarm system (most upscale ones do).
