Hey everyone!

I'm considering relocating to the Jupiter area and plan on visiting within the next week or two. What is Jupiter usually like in January? Has this month been "normal"? Which month is usually considered to have the best weather?

I'm also curious about what the general reaction to the latest covid wave has been. I understand most areas in Florida have been quite lax; has that changed at all over the past 3-4 weeks, or are things "business as usual"?

Thanks! Y'all rock .

Where would you be relocating from? To really get a sense of the SFLA weather I would also try for a visit in July so you can see how you’d deal with the humidity and heat.

This time of year is great to visit, weather-wise. We spent almost a week down in SFLA last week and what you may call “lax” when it comes to wearing masks and social distancing, us residents call it personal freedom.
I think you’ll find that most places want their employees to wear masks, and recommend it for their patrons.

The few places that we did visit that wanted everyone masked didn’t enforce it. My husband and I felt safe visiting; we are both boosted and my 10 week period from when I got boosted ends next week. For my husband, it’s about a month later. Considering our risk factor is primarily age, we felt we were good to go.

It was a combo business/pleasure trip, as I was seeing clients, some approaching their 80’s, who were also boosted. That’s what’s great about Florida. Make the decision that is best for you.

Enjoy Jupiter. It is beautiful, and compared to most of SFLA, far more laid back. The real estate is pricey though, like most of the area.

Business as usual here in Florida. People are moving here in droves to escape the left’s grip on states up north, largely because of the respect Florida has on personal freedom. Jupiter is no exception.

Weather wise, this is as good as it gets. 50’s at night, 70’s during the day. I agree with the previous poster that you’ll want to visit at the peak in August to see how you can deal with the heat and humidity. If that’s a non issue for you (as it was for me coming from Connecticut), come on down!

I don't think it varies much. -234 F all year round, but 79 moons to look at (instead of one). Bring a sweater.

And some groceries. COVID has everything shut down there.
