Does anyone have any advice about apartment complexes in Wellington? We're moving down there soon and will have to rent a place to begin with, probably sight unseen. I've looked into Solara, Estates at Wellington Green, Gables, and Polo Lakes. Is there anyone who's had good or bad experiences with any of these? We're looking for feedback since we're 1,000 miles away.

I am not too familiar with Wellington but you shouldn't have any problems with finding a decent rental there, most of the town is pretty nice, mid to upper class.

I don't think there are any 'bad' areas someone correct me if I am wrong.

I've stayed at Polo Lakes before and it's a pretty nice place to rent. The staff there is great which is always a plus and the apartments are really nice. Across the street is the Wellington Green Mall and there are a bunch of good restaurants around the area. Wellington is a very nice area so you can't go wrong.

I lived in Gables of Wellington for about 2 years. I had a one bedroom and paid about $1024. It was okay, no major complaints, the staff was always nice to me, but the the gait never worked, and people that didn't live there always snuck in and used the pool - no big deal. It's worth checking out. Polo Lakes is right next to the hospital - nice if there's another hurricane since you'll be the first to get your power back, but noisy! They are all expensive in Wellington - but it's a nice village with lots of polo grounds, horse stables, and a quaint kind of feeling.

Solara is down the road from from me, and its seems nice enough. Its deep enough into Wellington that its the most residential - off the main area. I run past it every morning and haven't noticed anything that would keep me away from it. I know you can get a two bedroom for around $1000/mo. They were just having a move in special free rent for first month. (I know someone who was looking.) Good luck.
