Default Century Village West Palm

I have recently been forced in retirement and had always loved the West Palm Area. One of the properties I really am interested in is in Century Vilage, W.P. This property is a corner with a great view, and the entire apartment has been remodeled with Italian Tile Bathrooms, new kitchen with island, and wall taken down to expand the living room.

What scares me is only that the prices are so low. This unit can be had for $110,000k, and I'm having a tough time understanding why the value is so cheap!

If I wrote a check for the entire amount, my overhead would be 500-600 per month. This would make both my wife and myself stress free, and afford us to travel in whenever we wish.

I really like the idea of all the clubs and associations. My wife and I are both 60 and still play tennis. My wife wants to go back to school at the North Atlantic University to take some fine art courses so she could work in a gallery without income being a factor.

Is the average age really 77??? That is the stat given on the website along with the average Florida age (WP) being 41.

This is the first time I have ever used a "blog" and I hope someone has something positive to say as I am going down tomorrow to view the "grounds", and I know the population in the summer will not be a fair reflection of this Village.

Sincerely,
Bruce Goldman

I'm not a fan of Century Village but, more importantly before I would BUY anywhere !
I would rent there first, take it from one who has 'been there done that'

Default Thank You

Thank you for the info. I am going to check those sites tomorrow. Someone else suggested Emerald Island as the same price range, but much more active.

Regards,
BG

Red face Sorry I'm Late Just Read Your Note

We live in Century Village and we are 67 and 51 respectively. Play tennis every day, swim, go to shows and use the cllub house alot. We have a lot of great new friends and we love it here in Century Village, West Palm. The prices are very low just as they are in the whole of Florida. Now is the time to purchase.
