We were somehow possed to move up north last Dec, big mistake and we can't go back to Melbourne because my husbands position was filled, but the company has one in West Palm, so before he accepts it, can we find affordable housing in a decent area? I'm looking for $1200 or less at least 3 decent size bedrooms. So in my search for housing where do I want to avoid and why? Some people might be afraid of Wal-mart so thats why I ask why... I do have kids in school so that is something to consider as well. How is the drive to WPB from Port St Lucie? I'd like to be semi close to my friends in Brevard county. I appreciate any input. Oh and if I looked inland like out toward Lake Okachobee, is there anything convenient? Like grocery stores etc?

The drive from PSL to West Palm is miserable. I wouldn't do it if I were you. I would look into Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens/Royal Palm Beach. Royal Palm is a good family area and rents and housing are cheaper than its bit more upscale cousin, Wellington.

Otherwise, check out Southern Martin County, which is still not a fun drive, but it's closer!

Good advice. Jupiter, Palm Beach Country Estates, Royal Palm.
