Are a lot of people in WPB county from New jersey

If so, how does it contrast w/NJ

Do you like or do you want to come back

What is the economy like down there

First off, it's just Palm Beach County.

Secondly, lots of people here are from the northeast.

1. Yes
2. It generally looks like a cross between a flat Orange County, CA and Haiti. It is very beautiful but has this third world feel that I can't explain even though the population is mostly "American". Just a totally different dynamic than anywhere in NJ, except for maybe some of the shore towns. Drive around West Palm, go stand on top of a parking garage and look at the vast slums to the north, confined gated communities to the west, and the huge mansions to the east then go downstairs and smell the tap water, feel the tropical air and you will know what I'm saying. I'm not saying it's bad, but there is a feel there.
3. I am from NY and live in Broward County, right below PBC. I like it here better than NJ but keep on throwing around going to NYC.
4. Unemployment is reaching late 80s levels in PBC. It's about 7 percent. The economy isn't too good.

There is no such thing as "WPB" County, it is simply known as "Palm Beach County" for research purposes, although it's county seat is indeed West Palm Beach.

Every other person in Palm Beach County is from either NY, NJ, or PA.

Your experience living in Palm Beach County is what you make of it. You can live in a full service condo community downtown, you can live in a gated community, you can live on the intracoastal, you can live in a historic neighborhood, or you can live way out West in an equestrian community.... or you can live in the ghetto or barrio.

are there many Italian transplants from NY/NJ?

are there many young, yuppie like (i.e. Hoboken like) transplants who had enough of NYC post 9/11 and decided SEFL was greener pastures?

taky123 is on a distinguished road
My wife and I moved to West Boynton Beach from NJ a few months ago and we love it. The lifestyle down here is so much better. I'm a Real Estate Broker in the area and see people from the NE almost every week.

Any suburban community out west will have lots of Italians from the northeast.

According to this map, Palm Beach County reports German as it's top ancestry, similar to most of the US. The stats show it being by and far the largest ancestry. Broward County reports Italian as it's largest ancestry by a slight lead over several other ancestries, the only place outside of the Northeast that does so. Miami-Dade reports Cuban as it's top ancestry by and far.
